Allsteel Introduces Admix: A Table Series Redefining Collaboration and Inclusivity in Modern Work Environments

Chicago, IL. February 5, 2024 – Allsteel proudly unveils Admix — a light scale table series that puts users in the driver's seat. Designed to be easily adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of collaborative teams and hybrid settings, this table series combines the functionality and application range of a conference table with a refined aesthetic creating dynamic spaces in the evolving workplace.

Admix offers a wide range of ancillary options and tabletop shapes for any space, such as project tables for training spaces, console tables for collaborative areas, or a satellite table that doubles as a power source and impromptu lectern. The V-Shape table is perhaps the most compelling addition for this hybrid era, as its shape inverts the camera angle to ensure an easy line-of-sight to all participants in meetings with in-person and remote attendees. Available in 3 angles to accommodate different cameras and combined with a strategically placed center leg to replace the head seat, this innovative solution removes the idea of hierarchy, promotes inclusion and equity in the workplace, and ensures every member has a seat at the table.

"When working on this collection with Allsteel, I knew we needed to consider the evolving nature of the office, which is often no longer seen as a place for heads-down work,” says designer Chris Adamick. “We aimed to provide autonomy to users and create a versatile solution that blends form and function for those in-person and hybrid moments. I always seek feedback from real users and my goal with this was to make the tables not only approachable and comfortable but also surprisingly useful."

Beyond prioritizing usability, Allsteel also placed a significant emphasis on sustainability by enhancing versatility and ensuring longevity with this collection. Admix stands out as the first of its kind with interchangeable casters and glides. This design feature allows tables to be effortlessly rearranged and repurposed over time, eliminating the need for replacement when specific requirements change. The use of low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and the choice of Declare and Red List Compliant materials underscore the dedication to minimizing environmental impact. From the PET wire manager – crafted from recycled plastics – to the utilization of powder paint, every element is chosen with environmental responsibility in mind.

In response to the evolving landscape of workplace ecosystems, Admix emerges as a tailored solution for creating equity and versatility in hybrid settings. Admix ensures a cohesive experience for the entire team no matter the location, while empowering designers to curate workspaces that align with their unique requirements, spatial layouts, and aesthetics.

Admix is an exemplification of Allsteel's mission to create products that empower individuals and teams to thrive in their work environments. To learn more and discover the endless possibilities, visit the Admix Product Page.
