  • Are there caster recommendations for specific types of flooring

     

    No. A general rule of thumb is that soft casters are for hard surfaces and hard casters are for soft surfaces. Please consult with flooring manufacturing for specific glides or casters to be used.

    Idea Starters are updated once per year. At that time, any discontinued product will also be updated. Throughout the year there may be additional price increases or product that has been discontinued. Please review current price and specification guides for the most up to date product options.

    While it may appear the casters are “shredding”, in actuality, dirt has built up on the surface of the caster over time and is now flaking off. Most often this situation is the result of using a “hard” caster on a hard surface (wood floor, tile, chair mat).

    We have several different types of casters:
    •    Hard Casters – 1st Class Polymide (nylon)
    •    Soft Casters – 1st Class Polymide (nylon) comolded with a urethane overcoat/Neoprene faced wheels. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber.
    •    All Surface Casters – Neoprene with a softer durometer than a standard hard caster.…

    Each Idea Starter will be available to download in Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD Blocks and a CET Favorite. There is also an overview typical page, SIF file and Bill of Materials PDF to assist with budgetary pricing.

  • Why do the planning tool files Revit Sketchup AutoCAD CET not contain finishes

     

    All our planning software files are saved with white/gray or undecided finishes. This is to allow the designer to apply their own creative palette or pull in the customer brand specific to their project.
