As we evolve our Return to Workplace strategies, meeting spaces will be asked to perform at a higher level than in the past. Not only do we need to accommodate the functional needs of those physically in the spaces, but we need to consider an equitable experience for those working remotely. Function, furniture, postures, lighting and acoustics, balanced with sight lines and preferred technology solutions to make these meeting spaces work harder.
Poor acoustics have historically been a source of frustration, distraction, and dissatisfaction in the workplace. That being said, good acoustic design doesn't happen by accident. Strategically considering acoustics in the planning of any space can lead to more productivity, increased utilization of space and overall workplace satisfaction.
